In the spirit of the old YATS games, here you may request a minor random event once per character per year. These events will give a minor bonus or minor consequence, nothing dramatically life-altering but with the potential to add some context to your characters.

Awesome! What do the gods have in store for Publius Crassus? Crassus assists an elderly citizen who fell in the forum without knowing his name; in a stroke of good fortune, it turns out to be a well connected equestrian. The man praises Crassus to the high heavens in the weeks after, winning him a number of new clients. (Crassus will receive a free vote in the next election he stands in) Noice, what do the gods have in mind for Saturninus and Claudius? Saturninus assists a citizen in need in his capacity as Tribune, shielding him from his debtors. The grateful citizen honors Saturninus by naming his firstborn son after him. Claudius claims to witness two eagles flying over his house, but no-one else is able to corroborate the event.

Regulus finds himself especially blessed when his favourite gladiator wins a string of matches in the Arena, getting him a tidy profit. +200 denarii.
Maximus manages to secure a fine Greek statue of Dionysus on the cheap; a perfect fixture for his atrium.
Lepidus’ favourite mistress has caught a venereal disease. He finds it itching “down there” and has to apply ointment daily.

Metellus finds that his favourite shoes have been pissed on by a disgruntled slave. He is forced to root out the miscreant and promptly has him executed, enforcing a reputation for harshness.
Sertorius is gifted a fine new horse by a client for his military ventures in Gaul; the horse is found to be lame the next day and is sadly put to pasture.
Sulla is shamed. His clothes are stolen after a particularly wild night in a brothel, and he is forced to walk back to his villa on the Aventine in nothing but a loincloth.

Vitulus is visited by a wealthy client that he aided in years past. The client rewards him a splendid necklace as a gift for Vitulus' wife. She is quick to show him her appreciation, and finds that she is now pregnant.
Mugillanus hears thunder on his way to the temple of Jupiter, an assuredly ill omen. When he looks down, he finds he has trodden in feces and has ruined his favorite toga.

While officially casting a vote for himself as Consul, Silanus embarrasses himself by falling from the dais and covering himself in dirt. He is mocked so severely he is forced to return home for the day.
A man insults Pompeius for his cross eyes on election day. After challenging the citizen and demanding satisfaction, the citizen is forced by Pompey to publicly apologize. His dignified handling of the incident wins him the respect of several nearby citizens.

Lepidus offers a goat to find a cure for his itches. Mysteriously, the sores and itching subsides. Either the ointment worked, or the blessing of the Gods did. Either way, the troops soon hear of it, given the steady supply of Gallic women they regularly deliver to their commanders tent.
