In the Boneway gathered the hosts of House Martell, with men from every corner of Dorne marshalled by the Prince. Ostensibly, they were to defend Dorne's borders from Sellswords and Ironborn, but rumours of dragons and vengeance had trickled into the desert. For now, they waited, encamped below the fortress of House Yronwood waiting for word from their Prince. {Martell Levies} 5000 Light Infantry 6000 Archers 4000 Men-At-Arms 4000 Light/Skirmisher Cavalry 1000 Knights {Martell Sellswords} 805 Light Infantry 575 Archers 575 Heavy Infantry 345 Light Cavalry {Dayne Sellswords} 180 Light Cavalry 300 Heavy Infantry

Word arrives from King’s Landing to the Martell forces stationed at the Boneway. Queen Cersei requests aid from Dorne, with the spears of the Prince to march immediately to the capital to relieve the siege of the Red Keep.

A similar letter is sent back, by the hand of the Storm's End maester, stating that the Golden Company would march to the North of them and join up for the march upon the capital.

Word would come of the encampment made by the Golden Company with their Stormlander and Reachmen allies. It didn't take long for Aegon Targaryen and, his commander, Harry Strickland to ride to the Dornish camp, just south at the Summerhall. Looking upon the ghastly ruins, Aegon recalled the stories of his ancestor, Aegon V, and the tragedy that struck this place. The blackened stone was still present... a ghostly reminder of what transpired. Nonetheless, he rode on and headed into the encampment of their allies from Dorne. Immediately, the Pretender and the Captain-General sought out Arianne and whoever commanded this great host.

Obara Sand commanded the host, having been sent into the Stormlands by word from King’s Landing and Arianne herself, who had ridden to the Boneway at all speed to inform her sister of the circumstances. At least a hundred banners fluttered in the breeze above the encampment, the heraldic panoply a collection of Dorne’s houses, great and small. Aegon and Strickland were led into Sand’s command tent, where Allyrion, Uller, Yronwood, and Sand herself were currently having a heated discussion on how best to proceed after receiving news from the capital of extraordinary circumstances.

Harry Strickland followed in behind Aegon Targaryen, who seemed to simply watch on what was going on. It seemed they were reacting to something, likely the same news that Varys had reported involving the unknown attackers on the Red Keep and how half the court vanished with them. Ships were seen departing King's Landing, but their colors were far gone before anyone took notice. Whoever had done this was quite skilled or likely favored by whatever gods they followed. Eventually, Aegon stepped forward. Harry Strickland glanced about, wondering if there was any of that Dornish wine about.
It was Aegon who spoke first.
Quite the heated discussion going on. Though to be expected with what has happened in the capital.
He remarks, which made him wonder how far and deep Dornish spies extended into the capital.
The news of what has transpired will certainly shake the realm, but that depends if Mace tries to cover it up or not.
Harry finds some wine and pours himself a cup. Finally! Something good!
The Oaf of the Reach will likely try to keep it hush hush. Gotta ensure Reachmen dominance over the court after all and ensure his fat arse is comfortable on that pointy throne.

"Your Grace" Greeted Ryon Allyrion, a wry expression writ all over his weathered features.
"We were discussing our next move, yes. News from the capital changes things, and not for the better." Said Harmen Uller, the grizzled lord of Hellholt gripping his sword belt.
"My sister says the Lannister bitch is gone." Growled Obara Sand clutching a letter in her hand that had arrived that very morning. "And Tommen."
Yronwood stood further away, arms folded. The Bloodroyal preferred to listen rather than speak, save when his counsel was absolutely necessary. Dorne had finally declared for a Dragon, but it was not the one who he had imagined.
"Lannister and Tyrell men still surround the city. More than we could hope to defeat in open battle."
And that was with another host still to be accounted for in the south. This is what Doran had feared. They needed more men.

Harry Strickland sort of clinks his cup against the edge of the table as he looks up at the gathered Dornish.
...the Queen and the child King are gone? What? Were the guards asleep or something?!
The old mercenary says with absolute astonishment. Whoever managed that, well, Harry wished he could live long enough to drink with him.
Aegon, on the other hand, could see why the Dornish were uncertain. Both of them were prepared to just face the Reachmen... however.
There are divisions in the Reachmen. The return of the Dragon has caused them to stir.
The young King speaks suddenly, looking at those present. Harry didn't react as he drank from his cup. Strickland knew what was going on.
Just like you, my Lords and Ladies, there are those who remember old allegiances to House Targaryen. Lord Rowan was just one of them.
Aegon would not name names, but at least make the Dornish aware that his presence, in the Seven Kingdoms, was causing unseen divisions among the Reachlords.

"So you think it will be enough to turn a battle in our favour? I see no lords openly marching for the dragon save us."
Obara retorted, angry albeit intrigued that there were outside forces at work.

Harry chuckles plainly before all.
A dagger remains sheathed till it is ready to be used.
He grins at Obara from where he sat. Aegon shoots the Captain-General a look, making Strickland just go back to drinking.
...he isn't wrong though. I have, on good knowledge, that they are waiting for the right moment.
Aegon recalled the letters and how the lords promised their support, but only when the time was right.

" We either wait for Tyrell to turn south, or march north to force the issue. The longer they think Dorne is for Tommen, the better, I say."
Replied Obara. Angry she was, but she had her father's skill in war.
"These Reach lords may promise their support, but if they see the wind blowing Mace Tyrell's way they will pretend they never knew the name Targaryen."
It was a gamble, and Sand thought that the Sellsword would at least know better than to believe in the honour of a Reachman.

Harry looks up at the mention of Mace Tyrell.
Look, even in Essos, we learned of the Oaf of the Reach. If the wind blew Tyrell's well, it just roll him off.
Strickland goes back to drinking from his cup. Aegon, in the mean time, had an idea to make.
Why not use the Kingswood to our advantage? It's big enough to hide an army close to King's Landing, Jon Connington once told me of the bandits that lived there for a long time before they were rooted out by my father. Take a local castle as our base of operations there and keep a close eye on the activity of the capital.
Action was better than no action.

"Lure Tyrell into the Kingswood, and we can trap him, from both sides."
Obara looked to Uller, who gave a nod. Allyrion, too. Even Yronwood stepped forward, to offer his assent.
"As good a plan as any I have heard."
Said the Lord of the Boneway.
"If he thinks you only ten thousand, he will surely take the bait. Then we shall strike from his rear, trap him between our armies."

Harry Strickland lifts his head.
Or, better yet, believes we aren't in the Kingswood, but still in the Stormlands.
The old veteran gives a grin at the Dornish before Aegon nods his head in agreement with his allies.
I believe there are some castles in the area...
He requests a map of the region which was drawn up for all to survey. Aegon does an examination before pointing at a few locations.
Bronzegate serves as the exit from the Kingswood, Bywater along the coast, and the defensive Massey's Hook closeby.
Aegon looks up to see what everyone suggests as their base of operations.

"We will remain here, for now, and keep appearances."
Obara leaned on her spear.
"Where you make your stand is your choice. Send the word, and Dorne will come."
