The Italian Allies have banded together and declared war on Rome, asserting their independence from the Republic. By and large, this insurrection is confined to the south, and for the present the Latins - with the exception of Venusia - have remained loyal to Rome. With some twenty legions under arms against the Republic in Italy, the situation is dire; the Italians have already taken and massacred the population of the city of Asculum, and lay siege to the Roman colonies of Alba Fucens and Isernia, both barely a stone's throw away from Rome itself. {Italian Eyes Only}Mutilus orders his army to let the Romans inside Neapolis escape and leave the city, and then before the Romans are even out of sight, he makes a point of beginning a loud and horrible sack of the city. The rebel legionaties strip the city of anything of value, kill any Romani and Campani who refuse to join them, and have their way with their women.
Mutilus also sends word to the east to Samnium and Lucania about the fighting in Campania, the capture of Neapolis, and the Roman legion presence. He also orders this information to be sent north to his allies in Marsia.

"Do they let Galli be Romani now? Before socii?"A man only very slightly taller than Pompeius stood in front of him, jesting about his captive's red hair. His captor was perhaps almost twice as stout, however, and wore pteruges and a breastplate. He had a beard growing from his chin, something resembling a Hellenic one. There were officers and guards all around, and they stood upon a tessellated terrace high above the city - their view was clinging to the side of the acropolis rising aloft Neapolis. Below was a city plundered, red with fire and choked with bellowing voices echoing high into the night sky. oznerol

I'll just have them sit here for now, Della is the only one trying to maneuver quickly so I'll move on the rest of the playerbase's speed.
