SER JUSTIN MASSEY 'THE SMILER' (RIGHTFUL) LORD OF STONEDANCE
Age: 28 (b. 272 AL) Marital status: N/A Children: N/A Core traits:Heritage: Andal (+1 Cav. command) Birthsign: The Moonmaid (+1 Charisma) Bloodline: Noble Blood (+1 personal combat) Stats:- Resilience: 3
- Charisma: 4 (3 + 1 from Moonmaid)
- Intelligence: 2
- Authority: 2
At first glance the blond, womanizing and light-hearted Justin Massey does not appear to have much in common with his dark and gloomy liege lord beyond their newfound faith in R'hllor, much less to have any reason to continue following him. In truth, despite the massive differences in their character, Stannis' brutal honesty and commitment to justice at all costs won the younger knight's respect and loyalty, if not quite his affection. It was for this conviction that Stannis was the rightful and best possible King that the Crownlander knight followed his chosen master to the Wall and beyond, though it meant that Stonedance would be lost to him and his house after his father was ridden down by the Tyrell reinforcements at the Blackwater. Despite his misgivings on the increasingly snowy campaign trail, Massey has dutifully and competently fought for Stannis beneath the Wall and at Deepwood Motte, rather unsubtly trying (and failing) to pursue first the Wildling Val and then the captive iron princess, Asha Greyjoy after the respective battles. More recently, some time after helping to retake Deepwood Motte from Greyjoy's troops, Massey bore witness to Stannis' agreement with the banker Tycho Nestoris and was dispatched on two errands. First, he was to ride back to the Wall with Alysane Mormont, to deliver who they all thought to be Lord Commander Jon Snow's sister Arya unto him - this he has done despite his discomfort with the She-Bear; a squat and chunky warrior-woman, who wasn't exactly his type to put it mildly. Second, he was to depart from the shores of Westeros with Nestoris and recruit sellswords for Stannis' cause with the Iron Bank's newly-opened bottomless wallets - having been chosen for this assignment by the King specifically because he was the most diplomatic figure still standing in the latter's inner circle, as Ser Davos Seaworth was thought to have died at Manderly's hands at the time. Before being allowed to leave, Massey was further instructed that even should the King die in the coming confrontation with House Bolton, he was to raise a mercenary army in the name of Queen Shireen anyway. Fortunately, as the Smiler finally returns from Essos with a veritable horde of said sellswords at his back, he will find that that was one oath he needn't keep after all. TRISTIFER BOTLEY (RIGHTFUL) LORD OF LORDSPORT
Age: 25 (b. 275 AL) Marital status: N/A Children: N/A Core traits:Heritage: Ironborn (+1 to Naval Combat rolls) Birthsign: The Moonmaid (+1 Charisma) Bloodline: Noble Blood (+1 personal combat) Stats:- Resilience: 3

Tris Botley is an oddball of an Ironborn. Legitimately kind, forthright and loyal, he gives the impression of being an honorable greenlander knight at first glance, and indeed his late father Sawane and brother Harren both long mocked him for being soft-hearted, always willing (even preferring!) to pay the gold price rather than the iron one for his possessions and probably a Sevener sympathizer besides. His perceived softness has also dragged him down in the game of love, as his childhood friend Asha Greyjoy no longer reciprocates his romantic interest in her - and has not for some time after he was packed off to Blacktyde, on account of the pair having been found touching each other in their early teen years - specifically because she saw him as 'too sweet for the Iron Isles', in her own words. No matter, this has in no way stopped him from trying to pursue her anyway, nor did it stop him from risking everything by supporting her claim to the Driftwood Crown even after the executions of his father (a supporter of Asha's brother Theon to his last breath) and mentor Baelor Blacktyde (another staunch Asha partisan and actual Sevener) at the hands of the Kingsmoot's eventual victor, Euron Greyjoy, which directly resulted in his home and rightful demesne of Lordsport being handed off to his uncle Germund. Tris sailed to the Wolfswood with Asha, in the process continuing to try and fail to win her heart, and when the army of Stannis Baratheon attacked he proved that despite his reputation as a kindly weakling he was as good with a blade as well as any other Ironborn warrior. Unfortunately for them all, that wasn't good enough, as the Ironborn were crushed beneath Stannis' far superior numbers and advantage of surprise and any hope of retreat dashed when the Mormonts set fire to their longships on shore. Tris was among the few Ironborn lucky enough to be taken captive rather than killed, having tried to race to Asha's side after seeing her laid low by a Northman's ax to her dome but falling victim to a skull-splitting blow of his own from the mace of a certain knight with a colorful triple spiral on his surcoat. Having survived his injury thanks to his helmet, 'Lord' Botley was later ransomed from the Glovers' dungeon and now continues to serve at his so-far-unrequited love's side.

Lord Tytos Blackwood Title: Lord of Raventree Hall Age: 39 (born 263 AC) Spouse: Jeyne Vance (born 266 AC) Children: Brynden (born 281 AC), {Lucas} (283-299 AC), Hoster (born 283 AC), Edmund (born 287 AC), Bethany (born 287 AC), Alyn (born 288 AC), {Robert} (293-300 AC) Traits (10 points):Resilience +4 (+1 from defeating Black Walder) Charisma +1 Intelligence +2 Authority +2 Core Trait: Moralistic and Bold Heritage: First Man (Reduced Winter attrition (-50%)) Birthsign: The Ice Dragon (+1 Resilience) Bloodlines: Noble Blood (increase to personal combat (+1)) Tytos Blackwood is the Lord of Raventree Hall and the head of House Blackwood in the Riverlands. His family has kept the faith of the Old Gods since the Age of Heroes, one of the few south of the Neck. He is a thin and tall man, with a close-cropped salt-and-pepper beard, a hook nose and long hair. Lord Blackwood owns bright yellow armor inlaid with jet in elaborate vine-and-leaf patterns, and often wears a magnificent raven-feather cloak. He is known as an honorable and chivalrous man, noted as a skilled warrior and a friend of the Starks of Winterfell. However, he is perhaps best known for his rivalry with Jonos Bracken, a family feud that stretches back to ancient days. Lord Blackwood began the War of the Five Kings serving under King Robb Stark, fighting at Riverrun, the Battle of the Camps and Raventree Hall. Even after Robb's death during the events of the Red Wedding, Tytos continued the fight for the lost cause and for honor's sake. Only after Jaime Lannister arrived at Raventree Hall did he yield and swear new oaths of loyalty to the Iron Throne. As chaos descends upon the Seven Kingdoms once more, Tytos Blackwood has chosen to stay loyal to the Iron Throne and to fight against the riverlord rebels.

SANDOR CLEGANE 'THE HOUND'
Age: 30 (b. 270 AL) Marital status: N/A Children: N/A Core traits:
Heritage: Andal (+1 Cav. command) Birthsign: The Ice Dragon (+1 Resilience) Bloodline: New Blood (+1 Charisma, Intelligence and Strength) Stats:
The last few years have not been kind to the Hound, any more than his infamously brutal childhood. First he quit House Lannister's service in disgrace, fleeing King's Landing out of fear for his own side's fiery secret weapon in the Battle of the Blackwater despite being a Kingsguard (itself a disgrace, since he wasn't and isn't an anointed knight), and in so doing becoming branded an outlaw and missing out on the glory of victory. Then as a vagabond in the Riverlands he was captured by the Brotherhood Without Banners, accused of a number of atrocities committed by Lannister troops without his involvement, and was forced to fight the undead Lightning Lord - and his flaming sword - in a duel to prove his innocence. Barely beating the odds despite his extreme fear of fire, he managed to force the nonplussed Brotherhood to let him go, in the process kidnapping Arya Stark in hopes of ransoming her back to her family. Unfortunately for the pair, they turned up at the Twins right as the Red Wedding commenced, and once more narrowly escaped with their lives (although for once, Sandor got to pass the blame for his actions off to someone else instead of it being the other way around, as his killing of Tytos Frey and Garse Goodbrook during their getaway was blamed on the Young Wolf by the Freys). Any hope of ransoming Arya off to her aunt Lysa was promptly dashed when Sandor came to blows with two of his hated brother's men, Polliver and the Tickler, in the Inn at the Crossroads; the Hound was victorious once more, but badly wounded and left for dead, his pleas that Arya put him out of his misery falling on deaf ears.
Since then, Sandor has not even had the good fortune to be assumed dead and left alone as such. Another savage criminal turned even more savage bandit, the noseless Rorge, looted his dog-head helm and wore it on his raids, leading most of the realm to assume that the real Hound was responsible for his atrocities in addition to past Lannister ones in the Riverlands. Rorge is dead now, but the helmet never made its way back to its original owner, having been claimed by the Brotherhood. Instead Sandor has spent his time since the incident at the Crossroads Inn recovering from his nearly-crippling leg wound, and in the process meditating on his life and future, on the Quiet Isle. The brothers there had been far kinder to him than he deserved, nursing him back to health and giving him honest (if necessarily grim) work as their hooded gravedigger, and the Elder Brother in particular kept his secret and the knowledge that he could not have committed even half the atrocities he's been accused of. As time went by and his injury healed, Sandor finds that his familiar black rage - which had been boiling as hotly in his heart as the flames his brother burned him in - feels, if not quite extinguished, then at least somewhat calmed now. And while he still doesn't intend to take vows of knighthood any time soon nor does he expect the Seven to descend from their seven heavens, he has developed a newfound grudging respect for the gods and their septons, for at least the brothers of the Quiet Isle managed to live up to their teachings and treated him when it would've been much easier for them to leave him to die.
It is for that reason that Sandor now makes his way to the capital, disguised within a mob of fellow dirt-poor refugees and aspiring Sparrows, to join the Faith's cause. For once, he intends to honestly serve, and to dare try to believe in, a higher purpose.

Norys IsnardoNorys 'Redbeard,' Norys the Norvoshi Born in 253 AC Title(s): Captain of the Deep Hollower, 'Lord' of Grey Gallows, and leader of the Bearded Raiders Status: Married to four wives Children: Several including Horyros, Captain of the Bitter WenchTraits (10+5):Resilience: 7 (+2 resilience from heritage and bloodline) Charisma: 2 (+1 from bloodline) Intelligence: 1 (+1 from bloodline) Authority: 3 Core Trait: Cynic, Ruthless, Bold Heritage: Essosi (+1 in any stat, +1 to interactions with Essosi characters and powers) Birthsign: The Galley (+1 to Naval Battles, +10% movement speed when commanding a navy) Bloodline: New Blood (+1 charisma, +1 intelligence, +1 resilience) Norys 'Redbeard' is a Norvoshi exile that took the seas and became a pirate of his own name and right. Before his time as 'Redbeard,' he served on another ship and learned to read the waves and respect the storms. When the time came, he struck out on his own, for fortune favored the bold. For over three decades, the Essosi sailed the wide and open seas, raiding sleepy villages on both sides of the Narrow Sea, competing with other pirates, and establishing his life. As a corsair, he also dealt with smuggling and black market profits, it helped him raise money to crush the former pirate leader of Grey Gallows. He eventually built up his own crew, the Bearded Raiders, numbering nineteen strong vessels, who, like their boss, grew thick facial hair, a trademark of the Norvoshi native. By the time of the present days, Norys had fathered several children and married four wives. His eldest son, Horyros, eventually joined his crew and began to captain his own vessel. As the War of the Five Kings raged, and whispers of Dragons came from Slaver's Bay, Norys encountered the Lord of the Waters, Aurane. He was stunned by the immense ships, having never seen such dromonds before. Power like that could easily rule the seas! The offer was hard to refuse; riches, women, and even titles. With his curved saber, the Redbeard threw his crew into a frenzy as they agreed to join Aurane and his fleet. Norys, and his son, would see combat at Claw Isle and Dragonstone as a result. However, with things changing, it seemed like they may be moving elsewhere. All the Norvoshi cared about was getting gold, slaves, and, one day, a castle if the seas were kind to him.
Horyros IsnardoHorys of Pentos Born in 272 AC Title(s): Captain of the Bitter WenchStatus: Unmarried, though has a couple slave girls Children: A few children Traits (10+4):Resilience: 4 (+1 resilience from bloodline) Charisma: 2 (+1 from bloodline) Intelligence: 5 (+1 from bloodline and heritage) Authority: 2 Core Trait: Proud, Ruthless, Zealot Heritage: Essosi (+1 in any stat, +1 to interactions with Essosi characters and powers) Birthsign: The Shadowcat (+1 to Spying and Assassination efforts) Bloodline: New Blood (+1 charisma, +1 intelligence, +1 resilience) Horyros Isnardo, nicknamed Horys by his mother, is the eldest son of Norys 'Redbeard' and his first wife. The story goes that his mother was a Pentoshi woman that his father met when his first vessel, the 'Gilded Crab,' weighted anchor at the port. In truth, she was a street girl and Norys was the one able to pay her a good sum of money. At first, he never knew his father for some years after. Horyros had been born a bastard from a one night of paid passions. Growing up, in Pentos, he played and learned like any other child. However, his mother noticed how the young boy always went to the docks and watched the ships. There was a inherited interest for the seas and the salt in him. She knew that he had his father's love for the sea. At the age of seven, the young boy ran into his father, by complete accident, upon the docks. At first, Norys wasn't sure what to do with the boy, but noticing his interest in his unbeknownst father's ship, the corsair decided to indulge the boy's fascination. It was when his mother came to fetch him that Redbeard learned that this boy was his son. By the time he left, upon the Deep Hollower, Norys brought his son and newly minted wife with him. Horyros was no longer was a bastard from that moment on, but an Isnardo. As time went on, whereas Norys had brawn and fierce authority, his son seemed more intelligent. He was still good with a saber, but he always used his mind more than his arms. He analyzed, he brooded, he thought much. Norys, at first, was rather irritated with this. He always thought thinking got people killed faster, but Horys proved himself nevertheless. He became the captain of his ship, joined in his father's raids, and embraced the pirate's life. As a result, a beard was grown upon his stern face, the trademark of the Bearded Raiders. Along the way, he embraced the faith of his mother, the Red God, marking him as an odd zealot among the crew. His vessel, Bitter Wench, even flew with a flag bearing the fiery heart of R'hllor as a distinction among the fleet.

He was the voice for bold and daring attacks against Robb Stark during Lannister war councils, discouraging any talks of peace. While repelled three times during the Battle of the Fords, Addam distinguishes himself in the defense of King's Landing during the Battle of the Blackwater. For his exemplary service and leadership, Addam is made Commander of the City Watch of King's Landing. Martyn was born a twin to Willem, his older brother. Both were squires during the early stages of the War of the Five Kings, having joined the army under Stafford Lannister, their cousin, at Oxcross. The resulting battle caused the two to be imprisoned by the victorious Robb Stark. However, Martyn was the lucky one in the end. Willem, and a cousin of theirs, Tion Frey, were murdered by a vengeful Rickard Karstark, who desired the blood of Jaime for killing his sons. This was the first tragedy in his life. His actions resulted in his execution and saw the Young Wolf triple the guard around Martyn. He was soon exchanged for Robett Glover and returned to his family. Lancel Lannister, the eldest of Kevan's sons, who was destined to be Lord of Darry, made a decision to leave his wife and castle in order to join the newly formed Faith Militant. It was Genna Lannister who recommended that Martyn, now Kevan's oldest living son, become the next Lord of Darry and marry the former wife of Lancel. Things were being arranged by Kevan when he was unexpectedly murdered. This was the second tragedy of young Martyn's life. Despite further arrangements made on his behalf, by Ser Devan, the Warden of the West, Martyn was kept in Casterly Rock for his own safety. The Riverlands were still too dangerous and events at King's Landing doubted the security of his person. As a result, Martyn remains, at the Rock, with his other cousins and his sister. His mother, the faithful Dorna, has shut herself in at Lannisport, mourning the death of Kevan, her husband.

DAENERYS ‘STORMBORN’ TARGARYENThe Unburnt, Breaker of Chains, Mother of DragonsBorn 284 AC Titles: Queen of the Andals, the Rhoynar and the First Men, Lady of the Seven Kingdoms (in pretense, by right of birth), Khaleesi of the Great Grass Sea (by right of marriage, by her own right), Queen of Mereen (by right of conquest).Status: Married, to Hizdahr zo Loraq. Formerly, widow of Khal Drogo (d. 298 AC) Children: Rhaego (born and died 298 AC), Drogon (b. 298 AC), Rhaegal (b. 298 AC), Viserion (b. 298 AC) Traits (10+2): Resilience: 3 Charisma: 3 (+1) Intelligence: 2 Authority: 4 (+1) Heritage: Valyrian. Core Trait: Bold, Ruthless. Birthsign: King’s Crown (+1 Authority). Bloodline: Dragon’s Blood. Biography:“Daenerys Targaryen is no maid, however. She is the widow of a Dothraki khal, a mother of dragons and a sacker of cities, Aegon the Conqueror with teats”-Tyrion Lannister. The last of the Targaryens was born amidst a raging storm, in Dragonstone, ancestral hall of her line. Her mother, Queen Rhaella –sister wife to king Aerys II the Mad-, died shortly after labour, her life –like many others- claimed by fevers caused by a hard delivery of the child she carried. However, the queen, with her last strength, named the child, Daenerys; a princess without a kingdom. Exiled, she and her brother, Viserys –last male heir of their house-, made their abode for years in Braavos, with ser Willem Darry, but, sickly and ailing, he soon died, leaving the orphans destitute. After that they wandered across all Free Cities, selling whatever treasures they still had, including their mother’s crown. They were glorified beggars. Daenerys’ life changed when she was sold to Khal Drogo, like a mare to be mounted by a stallion: wed in Pentos, she was given three dragon eggs, a silver filly and three handmaidens. She was soon pregnant of a male heir, one that would be Khal of Khals and rule the world, as was prophesised by the Dosh Khaleen. Viserys hoped to gain the throne through the swords, bows and spears of the fearsome Dothraki, but he had none of it. Ever the fool, impatient and driven by anger he defied custom and threatened Drogo and Daenerys’ unborn child in Vaes Dothrak, where weapons were not allowed: he subsequently was put to death by the Khal, pouring molten gold over his head. Dany did not fret, he must not have a been a dragon, because dragon don’t burn. Alas, a menial wound Drogo incurred while battling a rival khal festered and he died, burning from within. Desperate, with a queer resolution in her broken heart, the khaalesi erected a pyre for her husband, her stillborn child and the maegi that had killed both. Powerful magic was at work that night, for she entered the burning pyre and emerged naked, three dragon hatchlings suckling the milk of her swollen breasts: Drogon, Rhaegal and Viserion, named after her lost husband, and brothers. She was not to join the Dosh Khaleen at Vaes Dothrak, but conquer realms as her forebear Aegon Targaryen did once. A crimson comet appeared on the sky, a bloody wound across the firmament signalling the arrival of a new era, one to be dominated by fate and a figure larger than life, Daenerys herself, mother of Dragons, the Unburnt, head of House Targaryen, rightful Lady of the Seven Kingdoms. Yet, she only counted with a handful Dothrakis, a meagre khalasar, most of them old or green –save for her bloodriders-, the brave and –apparently- loyal ser Jorah Mormont, a Westerosi knight. They crossed the burning sands and plains of salt until destiny brought them to the Empress of All Cities, Qarth the Great. There she was courted by merchant princes of all kinds, paramount among them Xaro Xhoan Daxos. But, she would have none of it. Seeking knowledge, she ventured into the House of the Undying, whom she slayed with the help of Drogon, not before seeing visions of past and future. Soon, two men, by the name of Arstan Whitebeard and Belwas the Strong, came into Qarth, with ships from Illyrio Mopatis, magister of Pentos and one time host to Dany and her regal brother. They were to leave to the Free City, where Aegon and the Golden Company awaited. But, to go West one must go East first: she went to Astapor, to gain an army of enslaved soldiers. However, fate has strings stronger than steel, Daenerys got dragged into the mud of politics in the Bay of Slaves, her determination to erase the stain of slavery from the face of the world unwavering. She trod the cities of the slavers to dust beneath her dainty sandaled feet, conquering Astapor and slaughter the masters, dominating Yunkai and demanding its obedience and, finally, seizing the magnificent city of Mereen. Allies and enemies both she made during those uncertain times: Arstan happened to be Barristan Selmy, Lord Commander of the Kingsguard, Brown Ben Plumm and Daario Naharis pledged their sellswords to her –the later also his company in bed-, the shavepates had her as their queen and, on the other hand, all the slavers in the Bay swore to kill her and regain full power over the region. Nevertheless, undeterred, she made her abode in Mereen, a city like none other, trying to rule over an ilk of men and women who detested her and plotted behind her back, members of the Sons of the Harpy, a secret order destined to set amends to the situation in the Slaver’s Bay. Many events unfolded in those months, including the exile of Ser Jorah, who had sold her to Robert Baratheon when she was still the child-bride of Khal Drogo, and who –regret notwithstanding- had to bear the shame of his betrayal. The queen started to be known as the most beautiful and fairest woman in the known world, clearly taken by her dashing appearance inherited by her sire and mother, both of the blood of the dragon. Young, very young, almost nubile, she nevertheless had the mind of a queen and the instinct of a predator. A true dragon, she was not to be dominated by lesser men and inferior women, that could not contest with her, that had rose from nothing to become the Unburnt, the Mother of Dragons. She believes herself to be destined to rule, a saviour, a and chosen heralded ruler. Aegon returned, three dragons in her thrall, one black as death and night, one green like the grass in spring, one white like dried bone and ivory. Daenerys was far too strong and determined, driven even, to be daunted by rebellious subjects and intended to remain their queen, which led to her wedding –out of duty, not passion, as she had taken Daario Naharis to bed- to Hizdahr zo Loraq, fourteenth of his name and head to one of the most noble houses of Mereen, with the blood of Old Ghis running thick in his veins. However, during their wedding festivities, an attempt on her life was made and the queen had to fly away on Drogon’s back, becoming a dragonrider like the Targaryen of old. The city fell into chaos with the queen gone and the Hand and regent, Barristan Selmy, had to face a tremendous siege by the masters of the Yellow city of Yunkai and the restored slavers of the red city of Astapor, united their forces with the Volantene and the powerful legions of New Ghis. She was carried by her dragon to the sea of grass, well beyond the borders of Mereen, when Dany was, yet again, found by her inexorable fate, in the shape of Khal Jhaqo, a man she once swore to destroy. And a womb was again flowering in a sea of grass. Unknowingly, the blood curse and prophecy of Mirri Maz Duur had come true and her body awoke, even if she thought herself barren and crippled by the Lazhareen maegi, unable to bear children. The sun rose in the west and set in the east. The seas went dry and the mountains blew in the wind like leaves. Her womb could then quicken again and deliver a child. However, her offspring would not be any longer the one destined to mount the world, she was, riding a black winged death. Soon, not only the slavers would tremble, but the very foundations of the land would be shaken when the Queen of Queens reached west to claim her inheritance, her throne, her kingdoms, that were rightfully hers by birth right. The wheel would break or burn to cinders.

He is above the world of treachery. - Authority: 4 - Though his notions of power and place are oft-times not befitting a man of his station, the raw energy with which he conveys them are often enough to convince those who follow him to stay true. Core Trait:- Cynic: The laws of men are just that, made by men with power and flaws to which the weak meekly serve. And the laws of gods are just that, laws separate from that of men. Men must make their own rules, or risk becoming something less. - Bold: There are few who would openly doubt his courage, swept up by a passion that only builds as the barriers to success rise in number. Rodrik Harlaw The Reader Born 249 AC Status: widowed, to Lysanne Lynderly (died in childbirth, 273 AC). Children: Two sons, both died in 289 AC, during Greyjoy’s Rebellion. Titles: Harlaw of Harlaw, Lord of Harlaw, Lord of Ten Towers. Traits (10+1):Resilience: 2 Charisma: 1 Intelligence: 6 (+1) Authority: 2 Heritage: Ironborn. Core Trait: Cautious, Humble. Birthsign: Crone’s Lantern (+1 Intelligence). Bloodline: Noble Blood.Biography:Rodrik is the Lord of Harlaw, the most densely populated and wealthiest isle in the archipelago the Ironborn call home –which is not much by everywhere else’s standards-. He has been lord of Harlaw and Ten Towers for more two decades now, to the chagrin of his eldest sister, Gwynesse, a manly bold thing for a woman that always rued the day the lordship passed to her bookish weakling of a brother. Rodrik is called The Reader for a reason, he lives within books and old tomes, piled in the thousands in what probably is one of the largest libraries in Westeros. Never was too successful in anything, oppressed by a lifestyle that did not suit him among kinsmen and countrymen that did not particularly like him or stand his ways, thus, he poured himself into books, finding solace in what others wrote, particularly in the History of the world and its many customs, some of which are queer and foreign, unheard of for many Westerosi, cultured and illiterate alike. Harlaw does not reave, he does not take salt wives, he does not finger dance. He reads, he knows enough to forge a score of links at the Citadel and, probably, would have been happier there if his father had another son to inherit his castle. In his youth he sailed far and wide, but since he inherited Ten Towers he remained in there. Rodrik the Reader is a humble, content man, without ambition or aspirations beyond reading, accumulating more books and having a modest and tranquil life, without much hustle. He did marry a woman, out of duty, and once he sired two sons in her Rodrik lost interest, preferring other companies and other pursuits rather than his lawful wife, who was a disagreeable member of house Sunderly. The tranquillity of mind of Lord Harlaw was disturbed by his in-laws, the Greyjoy, for Balon was his brother by marriage. The said Lord Reaver of Pyke decided to rebel against none other but Robert Baratheon and everyone paid the price: Rodrik lost his sons, a good part of his will to live or do anything and a score of ambitious kinsmen pestering him about his inheritance. He grew to love dearly his niece, Asha, whom he offered Ten Towers after his passing, adopting her as heiress, while the lordship would pass to his cousin Harras, if she were not to risk her neck in the Kingsmoot. Alas, she had wed an axe and was as driven as all her kindred, but lose her bid against none but Euron Crow’s Eye. But, with the cruel man dead in Oldtown nothing keeps Asha from claiming Pyke and the Seastone Chair.
