Decianus is led in Drusus' office.
"Salve, Salve," he is greeted with from Marcus Livius.
The office is slightly more disorganized than the last time he had visited.
"Please, sit if you like," Drusus offers.
Fresh water and wine are brought in within a few minutes.

"Salve Drusus"
Aedile Decianus greeted his counterpart with a firm handshake. It had been awhile since he last visited his friend.
"Congratulations for your re-election to your current position"
Decianus politely said. Quickly he began to drink wine once Drusus' servants brought them a good bottle.
"Unfortunately, there are some political issues that need to be brought up, such as Italian citizenship"
Decianus was curious about Drusus'leanings on the issue.

"yes there are." Drusus replied. "I believe we need to deal with the issues closest to home first. The Italians are clearly upset at these warmongering governors stealing their young men without any compensation such as citizenship." Drusus continued.
"These men deserve better than they have been given"

"We are likeminded then, i feel pity for their loved ones that have to bury their sons, fathers, brothers and husbands"
Decianus said, happy that finally he found a likeminded politician. It was like a flower the empty deserts of Africa.
"This Crassus has gotten away with too much, first he breaks treaties at his whims and then being so inept that ten thousands of our citizens of Italians are massacred"
Decianus said, feeling sorrowful over the matter.
"something is very rotten in our senate"

"That is part of the problem, Gauis, their families do not even get the respect and honor of burying their fallen brethren." Drusus commented. "And most of these deaths are not pretty."
He shook his head. "Yes, it is a sad situtation in the Senate. Too many who do too little, except if there is some benefit for them.Crassus chief among them. Luckily he is just the censor and has no real power, except for that which we desire, letting new people into the census rolls!" His face grew red at the thought of the fates being so cruel.

Decianus mood turned further sour when they talked further about the senate.
"Bah, if he does not cooperate then we will ask the people and force a law through his throat if necessary."
Decianus added, emptying his goblet of wine.
"If only the Gracchi were here amongst us"
Like Saturninus, Decianus secretly admired the brothers.

"But we will most likely have to go through the assemblies and around the Senate if we want to get these men and the Italians what they deserve."
He didn't want to get to emotional and took some wine." These old stubborn fools act like Rome is their playset and the men of Italy are their toys."
"They also must be prosecuted for all their failures and law-breaking. Do you have the resources to look into Crassus' actions in Asia? " He asks

Representatives of Quintus Poppadeius Silo arrive to give the man's regards to Drusus for his impressive displays in the Senate, and presents a gift of ten thousand denarii to him from the Italians that are grateful of him defending their rights in public.

Representatives of Quintus Poppadeius Silo arrive to give the man's regards to Drusus for his impressive displays in the Senate, and presents a gift of ten thousand denarii to him from the Italians that are grateful of him defending their rights in public. Drusus sends his gratitude to Silo and his word that he will continue to fight for the rights of the Italians and the legionnaires.

Decianus said, he knew for fact that the citizens would not just vote for such a full citizenship grant. "If we want to succeed we might have to contact the current tribunes and propose a popular bill"Decianus paused, overthinking the options they had. "Crassus shall be prosecuted in time but perhaps it is best that we first prosecute Mugillanus for his utter shameful defeat in Greece, even the urban poor of our city are calling for it".

"If we are able to take down one of these old guards, it might persuade some of the others to take our side in future debates." Marcus stated bluntly. "And yes, Crassus needs to do his Censor duties before we prosecute. Much as I dislike what he might let through."
"The tribunes this year are not up to the task of getting this bill through, unfortunately." He shook his head. "I will take care of the tribunate in the future if the roads lead us that way, I think I have a way to convince the populace that they will support." He comments offhandedly

Decianus had no trouble in confessing his loyalties to his natural friends and allies.
"Oh tell me more, will you enter the tribune?"
Privately Decianus had considered to run for the tribunate again in a few years again.

"I will run for Praetor probably, so a praetor supporting the tribunate will increase the chances of passing Citizenship"

"We will most likely need all out supporters in the Comitia Well." Drusus offered.
"While that support is generally easier, (cheaper), than senatorial support, I fear we will be heavily opposed." Drusus admitted
"I am not sure what support I can get with an offer of marriage to my sister, but it is time she does her duty to her family." Drusus spit out loosely. "I will think on it, and we will speak again soon, Gauis."
