With the war over, ravens from Casterly Rock to the various keeps of the Riverlands and the Crownlands. Lord Martyn Lannister makes it known that those Westermen knights, who roam the Seven Kingdoms, and having been placed to oversee places during the recent conflict, are welcomed to return home. He insists that they return to their families and make new names in assisting in his rule over the West. He states that those who return, willingly, will be rewarded with gold for their long and faithful services to House Lannister. There are even rumors of the young lion possibly creating an order of knights dedicated to his protection and that of the West that needed time to recover and rebuild.

Justin Massey, newly made Lord of Rosby and Commander of the City Watch of King's Landing, issues a proclamation to both Flea Bottom & the camp of the remaining mercenaries at the advice of the Lord Hand & with the authorization of the King: anyone who wants not just a steady salary, but also a plot of land outside of the capital's walls to till and raise their family on, is hereby encouraged to report to the Goldcloak barracks. They will be trained by not just Massey's own men but by the esteemed knights of the Kingsguard as well. The young, the strong, the quick-witted and those who haven't already accrued infamy are prioritized for recruitment, as is the obvious standard, but beyond that the officers of the Watch will not discriminate - bastards would not be turned away simply on grounds of bastardy, for example, nor petty thieves, unlike actual murderers and rapers.

A royal proclamation is read throughout the streets of King’s Landing, with riders and ravens sent to bear the words of the King to every corner of the realm. A tax is raised in every town and city in the kingdoms on the sale of grain. A tenth of all profits from the sale of grain in these locations shall be claimed by the crown as property of the royal treasury. Those found hoarding supplies of grain shall be punished with a fine and imprisonment, as well as seizure of their goods by the crown. The purchase of grain by the crown for the people of King’s Landing shall be conducted at a fixed rate determined by the Master of Coin, Ser Lucion Lannister, and those that sell their stock to the Crown shall be held exempt from said tax.
Furthermore, a two penny tax is raised on prostitution within the cities of King’s Landing, Lannisport, Oldtown, Gulltown, and White Harbour, to improve the public morals and recover from the degeneracy that was deemed acceptable during the reign of the incest-spawned usurper Joffrey Waters.

To celebrate the peace, Princess Arianne Martell sends word throughout Dorne and the kingdoms beyond that a tournament is to take place at Sunspear, with all true knights invited to take part in the joust and melee. A handsome purse will be rewarded to the victors, as well as (it is rumoured) the hand of one of the Princess' own fair kinswomen.
