”We rose for the dragon against Robert, sire. My father and grandfather fought at Ashford. I and my brother fought under Lord Rowan’s banners at the Kingswood, Your Grace.”
Osgrey answered honestly, or at least as honestly as the query required. They had rose for the Black Dragon as well, though that was a century ago. Their grandfather nearly rose for Maelys Blackfyre too, and might have turned his banners to the Black Dragon had he found victory on the Stepstones.
”I offer you my service, such as it is, and my absolute loyalty.”

Aegon looked to Jon Connington, who nodded. What the man had said was true. Aegon then fixed his gaze upon the man and offered his hand. "Then rise, Ser Osgrey of the Kingsguard." Aegon turned to some servants. "Bring a white cloak immediately, I have accepted this man's holy oath." He turned back to Osgrey. "You will take your oath officially once it is practicable. Given the circumstances, we must be more expedient. You will be relied upon closely in the coming weeks, Ser. Your name may accompany some of the most famous men for deeds done in this war."

”I will serve you unto death, sire.”
Replied Ser Addam, as he discarded his chequy cloak for one of brilliant white. He rose from his knees and took his place by the King’s side.

@ Jokern "Ser Marbrand, I presume?" Aegon began. "It would seem we have fewer Westermen in our ranks today then we did yesterday, and yet you remain. Perhaps you can explain to me what has happened?" He preferred to not have such an answer filtered through Devan Lannister - he was a man of ambition but shallow skills it seemed at this stage. Addam shrugged at the question. "Far as I know, your Grace, Ser Devan sent many of them home to Casterly Rock after the victory in the Kingswood. With the South pacified and their troops soon to join us, protecting the West is a priority after everything that happened with Robb Stark. A priority I happen to agree with. It would benefit Stannis greatly if our gold mines fell in his hands, and I do not want Ashemark to fall into enemy hands again. I would've joined them in defense of my home, your Grace, but I suspected my talents would be more useful to you here. You'll find no cavalry commander like myself anywhere in the Seven Kingdoms, I promise you that."

Aegon smiled at the thought. "A task I shall put you to shortly, Ser." He replied. "I have need of able men by my side, and you came to my cause without coercion or personal interest in mind. Serve me well and you shall be amply rewarded.I have decided Ser Devan is of better use to me in the Capital, but you shall ride north with our forces to march upon the enemy. I do not think Stannis will bend the knee, and therefore he must be defeated."

Ser Marbrand nodded, smiling at the thought of fighting once again in the Riverlands.
"No doubt, your Grace. From what I know of Stannis, he's a hard bastard with a sense of justice as unbreakable as Valyrian steel. I doubt he'd surrender in the face of overwhelming odds. How many men will I have at my disposal, your Grace?"

"I do not have many men to spare for the coming campaign will be arduous, but a force of ten thousand will be sufficient. If you can raise more, then do it. THe Westerlands are not secure, and I do not know there wherabouts of the Kingslayer. I had hope the faith could be of greater use to me, but it seems the High Septon has chosen a different route. I intended to have Jaime tried by the Faith for his sister's crimes, which he would share in himself of course, and to settle the matter of Casterly Rock once and for all." Aegon seemed annpoyed the plan seemed to be failing. "I don't suppose there are any golden haired dwarves we might pass off as Tyrion Lannister hidden about." He added in jest.

"Ten thousand will do fine, your Grace. I'll make sure those deny your rightful authority suffer the consequences."
He grinned confidently. It had been a while since he let the boys truly go wild, and the Riverlands was perfect for such an endeavor. He dropped his smile at the mention of Jaime and Tyrion Lannister. The children of Tywin Lannister were still a sore subject for Addam Marbrand.
"I'd ask your Grace for leniency with Jaime Lannister. He's a good friend, and the best swordsman in the Seven Kingdoms. I think you may still have use for him, no need to let the crazed zealots rip him to pieces. And say what you will of the Dwarf, he alone inherited his late lord father's cunning and wit... your Grace. But he's long gone now, somewhere across the Narrow Sea I reckon."

"Jaime Lannister shall speak for himself, if and when he is captured. He will be treated fairly but justly." Aegon concluded. "I name you one of my captains, then. Serve me well and there is opportunity for further advancement. Perhaps it would be better if you captured Jaime Lannister, and no other. I would prefer that he reached me unscathed." It was a subtle yet obvious command.

Addam made a slight bow with his head. Jaime's life was now in his hands, and he would make damn sure that his friend was safely brought back to the Westerlands.
"Just give the order, your Grace, and I march north to the Trident. The Crossroads should serve as good staging ground for any campaign against our enemies in the Riverlands and the North."

Arianne is present as the Dornish lords and nobles arrive, including her own cousin Obara and the lords Dayne, Manwoody, Yronwood and Uller.
”Your Grace.”
Obara bows her head in deference to their new liege.
”We await your command.”

"My Lords and Ladies, my new kinsmen, this will be the campaign that will restore the Realm under one true king. No pretender, no tyrant, and no usurper will stand in our way. The Daughters of Oberyn Martell I name true Martells, removing the taint of bastardy. I know it is not the custom of Dorne to harbor such prejudices other Kingdoms have towards such persons, but I would not have my most loyal supporters seen as less in any way by my other subjects. Lord Dayne and Nymeria Martell I name to the small Council, as councilors without portfolio for now, but for that to be changed upon the war's end. My Queen, Arianne, shall rule in my absence in King's Landing as Lady Regent until my return as I lead our forces north towards the Vale. Our forces will be split, with Lord Tarly leading the loyal men of the Reach into the Riverlands to restore the Riverlands to the Tullys and bring them back into the King's peace. We march to the Vale to ensure Baelish's, and the Vale proper. This is our task. Once the realm is restored, Dorne's faithful will be honored above any others in the Kingdom as my most loyal subjects. The animosity of old between Dorne and the Dragon will be a thing of the past."
Aegon drew Blackfyre and held it aloft. "Fire and blood!"

”Fire and Blood.”
Obara echoed. The Queen looked rather pleased, albeit she was growing rather impatient on the matter of the Westerlands and Trystane’s marriage. And that she was being left to deal with that accursed High Septon.
”Thank you, Your Grace. We are honoured, and will be honoured further by your victory against the usurper.”

Ser Addam Marbrand returns to the other lords gathered at the war council.
"Lords of the realm, our King has called us to war! The usurper marches south and it falls on us to crush him! I, Ser Addam Marbrand, ride to meet Stannis in the field, 10,000 men I have been given command over. Who rides with me to hunt the stag and his red priestess?"
