Fire and Blood
After weeks of preparation, much of the Storm Lands had fallen swiftly to Aegon's host. Ten thousand soldiers of the Golden Company have managed to muster in near Storm's End, and have been bolstered by a large company of some three thousand Sellswords provided by Illyrio Mopatis and other Targaryen loyalists in Essos. Additionally, several Storm lords have pledged their assistance to the One True King of Westeros.
With that, Aegon has begun his campaign to recapture the Stormlands in earnest, and force the remainder to bend the knee. Currently, only a token force under Mathis Rowan, with some 5,000 men. This army had expected to continue the siege against Baratheon loyalists, and did not expect a much larger invasion army.

Parley on the Field of Battle
As the full Targaryen Force began to deploy on the field of battle, with troops marching from the gates, as well as deploying from camps outside the castle, the Aegon VI Targaryen dispatched a rider to the camp of Mathis Rowan. Outside, banners displaying the sigil of House Targaryen and the Golden Company were unfurled on the battlements, and were carried by the standard bearers.
{Message for Mathis Rowan}"To Mathis Rowan,
The forces assembled here bear loyalty to the True King of Westeros, Aegon VI Targaryen, son of Rhaegar Targaryen and Elia Martell, who survived the sack of King's Landing by being spirited away by his most loyal followers.
We demand that you proclaim your allegiance to the Crown. If you should do so, we can pledge a seat on the Small Council for distinguished and loyal members of the nobility. Already, we have dozens of Houses, Great and Small, pledging loyalty to our cause across Westeros, and we have an indefatigable source of resources from Targaryen Loyalists across the Narrow Seas.
However, if you fail to break your siege and attempt to march against us, you shall be branded an enemy of the Realm.
King Aegon VI Targaryen, True King of Westeros, King of the Andals, the Rohynar, and the First Men, Lord of the Seven Kingdoms and Lord Protector of the Realm,

There was hardly anything to consider. Rowan had received a raven from Goldengrove, some days ago, bearing the message of Aegon's desire for allegiance. He suspected other Reachlords would be given the same message. The Reach had been long standing supporters of House Targaryen, namely during the Blackfyre Rebellion and Robert's Rebellion. His own ancestor, Thaddeus, supported the Blacks during the Dance of the Dragons and served as a regent for Aegon III. Mace Tyrell was a buffoon that would get them all killed sooner or later. The defensive formation of Rowan's line eased up once Rowan stepped forth from his troops. Before Aegon, and his troops, Lord Rowan bent the knee. His men followed suited. House Rowan declared for House Targaryen. {Rowans Army - 5,000}2,000 Light Infantry 1,000 Archers 1,000 Heavy Infantry 500 Light Cavalry 500 Heavy Cavalry

Word arrives from the Reach, borne on horseback rather than by raven. A cabal of Reachlords affirm their support for Aegon’s cause, holding neither loyalty to Mace Tyrell nor the Lannister regime that he supports. Should the Targaryen march on the capital, he would have their swords in battle, but they are unable to march to join him at present due to either defending their lands in the Reach or at the side of Mace himself in the capitol.

(Rolled by CF’s request)
Aegon arrives at Haystack Hall and prepares for a siege. After a few days, an agreement is concluded between the King and House Errol, with Lord Errol pledging his fealty to King Aegon in exchange for keeping his lands and titles. To Aegon’s cause, he supplies a token force of 200 men.

Harry Strickland, after the events in which Haystack Hall was captured, called upon Lord Tarth via Raven. There were still a couple more places to force compliance and the Captain-General felt it would be a good idea to call upon the respected Tarth, and his levies, to aid in this cause.

With Reachmen at their backs, Lord Rowan and Harry Strickland approach the castle of Stonehelm to the North. The Swanns, the lords of these lands, were a powerful bunch considering they had remained out of the war for some time now. With 5,000 spears, archers, and horsemen, the two made their approach to the castle's walls, keeping a distance, but showing off a position of strength. Rowan sends forth a rider, relaying a message of parley to the Lord Swann, in order to discuss his surrender of the castle to the true king, Aegon of the House Targaryen, the Sixth of His Name.

Lord Swann sends a rider out refusing parley. House Swann wants to no part in the wars of the realm, with lord Gulian quite content to sit behind his castle walls and wait out this storm. He has no quarrel with Lord Rowan or his king, but merely wishes to be left in peace.
