A servant leads Templeton through the castle to the meeting hall. Brynden stands by a great table together with a few other knights and serjeants, discussing amongst each other while looking over a map. The map seems to depict the many valleys, rivers, and roads of the Vale. The Blackfish ushers Templeton forward when the guest is announced.
"Ser Templeton, welcome to the Bloody Gate. Up for a hunt of mountainfolk?"

Up for a hunt of mountainfolk?" "That is what I've been appointed for, Ser"Said the knight of Ninestars. "We fought together at the Trident, I remember your banners"He added. Hotspur was young, lean and lithe, with a little too much energy within his body.

oznerolBrynden smiled and invited the knight to join him at the table. "Oh yes, you're thr Knight of Ninestars, now I recognize your sigil. Lord Arryn spoke highly of you when I came to the Vale. I'd like your opinion on some things."A few wooden miniatures stood on the map, carved into symbols of the various houses - the falcon of Arryn, the raven and heart of Corbray, the runes of Royce and so on. A few others were carved into the shape of mountains, placed in various places across the wild mountains and forests of the Vale. "Me and my men have already fought raiding parties coming down from the mountain a few times. As quickly as they emerge, just as quickly they disappear. Bloody annyoing but clever, I'll give them that. Bloody fanciful names too - Black Ears, Burned Men, Painted Dogs, Milk Snakes..."Brynden and the other men chuckled for a bit. "We've sent our own scouts into the mountains to find their holdouts. The few who return come back empty-handed. It's a bloody mess of wilderness up in those mountains, no wonder those bastards have survived for so long. So, Ser Templeton, how do you catch a great, big stag in its own woods before it guts you with its horns?"
