The aedile Marcus Livius Drusus comes to inspect the theatre. He looks around for a manager or someone who can show him the structure.

After some time a young man, looking barely around his twenties went to show up. He would introduce himself as Gaius Flavius Fimbria, his father was a consul only a few years ago.

"Salve, Gauis Flavius. As Aedile , I am sure you know I am here to inspect the public buildings of Rome. And while it appears the theatre is not yet complete, if you could show me around the site, I would appreciate it." Drusus began.
"Mostly I am interested in the safety of the structure, so if one of the engineers could accompany us, that would be well, unless of course you feel confident in explaining everything."

"Ah uh, well i shall call the best of our engineers to aid us in technical matters"
Cinna had hired the best engineers from across the republic so Fimbria was confident that everything was safe. Or that was what Cinna told him anyways.
"Follow me through the entrance please"
Many workers were busy with enlaring the theatre, many building blockers were ready to be used. Many statues had been delivered as well to decorate the theatre.

"It appears it will be a highly decorative place" Drusus commented as they walked through the construction site.
"This will be quite a large theater, how many do you expect it to hold?" He asks.

"The engineers have informed me that once the construction is finished it should be able to hold around 12 000 people"
Fimbria answered dutifully, he knew little of the technical details himself.

"Twelve thousand?!" Drusus answers in surprise. "That is a very large amount of people. Increase the dangers of this theater greatly." He adds.
"With this many people about, I hope you have taken appropriate steps for proper latrines and baths."
"Also I will need to know about the entrances and exits, will this establishment be able to extradite such a large crowd if there is an emergency?" He questions the young men.

Fimbria replied, perhaps annoyed by such boring questions. The young man had preferred to campaign in Asia rather than stay in the city.
"The engineers are currently connecting the latrines to the sewers build by Lepdius"

"I hope that is enough," comments Drusus. "Four thousand people rushing through an exit sounds rather frantic to me. But I will leave it to the engineers."
They walk around some more construction. " Good to hear about the sewer connection. I would add that any entrances for maintenance to the sewers are highly secured, there have been unsavory instances in the bowels of Rome." He added.
"If you would just show be the back stage area, I think that will complete my inspection."

Fimbria added, sewers always attracted the lowest of the lowest people.
"In case of emergency the exit of actors could also be opened to the public."
Fimbria said, bored of this civilian stuff. It was unfortunate for the young man that Cinna found him too young to already join the Asian War.
"Sure, follow me"
Fimbria and the engineer would lead the Aedile to the backstage. More building blocks and workers were to be seen. Also some actors were seen practicing their arts.

Embarrassingly for Fimbria, when the two enter the backstage area they catch his own sister engaged in conjugal relations with another man in the dressing room. Fimbria would recognise him as a lowborn actor. Screaming in shame, the two barely clothed lovers run out of the theatre.

Drusus harrumphs.
"Well that is not what I expected." As he looks at Fimbria, it appears he recognized the girl, who looked decently attractive.
"At least, it wasn't Lepidus the elder she was cavorting with." He threw out slyly.
"But as it doesn't affect the safety of this theater, you will have to deal with that the way you see fit." He finished.

Fimbria said angered by this disgusting display of his sister. It was mode worse that she did this with a mere lowborn actor. Fimbria certainly felt humiliated. Their father would have to reprimand his sister it seemed.
"That lowborn scroundel will not be seen here anymore!!"
Perhaps Lepidus' sewers will be visited again in the coming days. A body more or less would not matter in the end. Certainly it was not something that Fimbria would just let pass.
