Riders from Rome are send out to the Colonia. They inform that Saturninus is in dire need of help from anyone who is willingly. The riders point out that the conservative faction within the senate wants to reverse all laws passed by Saturninus and Vitulus, this includes reversing the law where lands were given to the colonists.

Quintus Sertorius, while settling the affairs of his recently deceased father, rides north into Gallia Cisalpina to visit the old veterans of Sertorius from the Cimbrian War. Meeting up with his old comrades was a strange if cathartic experience, as was telling them the fate of their old chief. Many were aggrieved to hear of his exile and recent death, but the young man reassured them that he would continue to look out for their interests as he began his own career in politics. In turn, they would honour him as they honoured his father, and should he ever call upon them for any campaign or venture then they would surely answer. Choosing to make some use of his time there, he elected to invest further monies into the colony, buying up land owned by Gallic tribesmen or struggling Latin settlers and doling it out to the old veterans at cheaper rates.
(Sertorius invests a further 10,000 into the colony)
