Sertorius sends 200 allied cavalry under his son (+3 resilience, +3 command) to cross the river Po and determine the location of the Cimbri forces; they are not to be engaged under any circumstances.

The unit, under Sertorius' son, returns, having been beaten away from a group of Germanic scouts.
However, the unit sent the Alpine passages brings back good news! They had found an army exiting at the roots of the Alps from the Helvetia region. The banners indicated the Tigrini. The estimated numbers were thousands upon thousands. The scout leader reports that they are estimated to be between 15,000 to 20,000 fighting men, not including any civilians. The army was on the march last they saw, heading south.
