The City of Oldtown

The City of Oldtown proper. Large mansions and guildhouses rest by the side of cobbled streets, leading to the vibrant markets and bustling harbour of the largest city in Westeros. The City Watch, while much depleted, still numbers a thousand men, and they patrol those areas of the city that are not under the sway of the Faith. In recent years, the merchants and craftsman of Oldtown had begun asserting a degree of autonomy from their feudal masters, and regularly convene at the Guild Assembly to mediate their disputes and ensure the continued flow of commerce into the city.
