CASTLE STOKEWORTH
Stokeworth, also known as Castle Stokeworth, is the seat of House Stokeworth in the crownlands. It lies north of King's Landing, and south of Duskendale. The maester at Stokeworth is Frenken. The castle is a storied keep, the foundations of which were laid centuries past. However, it was burned up almost completely in the Blackfyre Rebellion at rebuilt at great expense by later Lords and Ladies of Stokeworth. The castle has quite a bit of a retreat and palatial residence, having being erected in later times, when warfare in the Crownlands was neligible. The lords of the castle considered it was far too close to the capital and the king's watchful gaze to be threatened by an exterior force or be besieged. However, the curtain wall remains a strong one, the only thing that remains from the old castle, with a fortified gatehouse and a number of watchtowers. The castle has a great hall built by the current lady's grandfather and a stone-built sept with multi-colored vitrals. Rosby and Stokeworth are the capital's breadbasket, both supplying King's Landing with half its food, but it's unable to feed the city all by itself. The Lords of Stokeworth are prosperous and wealthy, like their lands, watered by the river and graced with a rich soil. Current lord: Ser Bronn of the Blackwater (by the right of his wife, Lady Lollys Stokeworth).
