Richard Morrigen directed the construction of the siege lines, the Crow of Morrigen flying high beside the Crowned Stag banners that were enveloping Storm's End. In the meantime, Lester along with two dozen knights of the Stormlnds and of the Vale ventured forward to the gates under banner of truce.
"Let one with authority to treat with me come forward to negotiate. King Stannis has taken King's Landing, and Tommen Waters' bastard birth of incest confirmed by the Faith. Let us know whether this castle is held by those loyal to The one true King Stannis, or the bastard pretender Tommen." Lester called to the walls.

Once the siege lines are established, Ser Richard Morrigen selects a contingent of fifty knights and rides back to Bronzegate. Once he is outside the gate and under a banner of truce, he seeks parley with the castellan.

Storm's End surrenders to Lord Morrigen without a fight. Morrigens installs a garrison of 250 men and orders his troops to march to Griffin's Roost. Richard Morrigen returns to the main host, having received no envoy to speak with him at Bronzegate.

Griffin's Roost falls, Morrigens proceeds to Crow's Nest with an advance of 100 outriders to scout the way.

With the arrival of Morrigen, Crow's Nest throws down the banner of Tommen Baratheon, forced upon them by the Lord Protector Waters, and raises the old standards of House Morrigen. The gates open as those who remained, after the fierce fight, come forth to welcome their lord home. With this, the heartlands of the Stormlanders was under the control of Stannis Baratheon. From Shipbreaker's Bay to the Sea of Dorne, cutting the land in half. At Crow's Nest, ravens fly in from across the Stormlands, indicating those who had answered Morrigen's call. {Spoiler}House Errol of Haystack Hall House Wagstaff of Adderdell House Tudbury of Tudbury Hall House Manning of Manning Hall House Fell of Felwood House Kellington of Blue Grove House Tarth of Evenfall Hall House Estermont of Estermont House Buckler of Bronzegate House Hasty of Hadlow Keep House Grandison of Grandview ======================== A raven from Lord Arryn reports the submission of Stonehelm and House Swann in the South. ======================== New banners come from the North as Rolland Caron, named Lord of Nightsong and legitimized by Stannis Baratheon, arrives with five hundred men. He had been commanded to join Morrigen's army and would do what he can to render services, but the Stormlander had his own mission too: to regain his ancestors keep from the killer of his brother, Ser Philip Foote.

Lester and Richard entered their ancestral home with as much fanfare as the occasion allowed. The sigil of their house flew alongside that of the Crowned Stag from every crenelation. Casks of ale were rolled out to allow Morrigens retainers to toast their accomplishments. Accompanied by their squires, Lester and Richard called a war council in the solar, welcoming all the newcomers in turn. Outriders are sent to screen the approaches to the keep while the army is allowed a rare moment of rest since the campaign began. The Northmen were likewise invited to participate.

After his men were situated in their encampment, Rolland Caron arrives at the war council in Crow's Nest. With him were two knights, Will and Dick Cole. They were former Golden Company and decided to follow the newly raised Lord Caron on his journey south. Rolland hoped they could become good knights in the Dornish Marches due to their skill and career with the defunct mercenary company they once served. Rolland nods his head to Lester.
Lord Morrigen, it has been a long time. Where you went North, I stayed and defended Dragonstone. You got to fight, I was imprisoned for years.
Caron stretches his sword arm.
Thank the Seven Cersei is dead or I'd still be locked up.

Richard regarded Caron with amusement. "Congratulations on your new name, my Lord." He began "our King is generous to those who serve him well, even from a cell."
Lester was more diplomatic. "Many were denied the opportunity to fight, you did as you were commanded and you did not break faith. You will have the opportunity to prove yourself, Lord Caron. Once we have ended this rebellion I will see you seated at Nightsong. We welcome your companions as well. They may find some of their comrades in our ranks. I have offered former golden company men positions in my household for their service. But enough of this, we must not grow overly confident - we are not yet victorious. My brother tells me that many Houses have answered our call, but some remain defiant."
Richard replied to his brother, and the council. "The heartland of the Stormlands is secure, yes. The trouble is we do not know where the rebel Aurane Waters is presently located..."

Eddard Umber sat on a chair, feet up on the table chewing on some bread with his mouth half opened. Thinking about the news that had just reached him that his father, the lord Greatjon Umber had been found alive in the Frey dungeons but also that he accompanied the traitor Blackwood. Interesting times but for the moment eddard was still on the campaign, along with 400 of Last Hearths finest.
He spat out a bit of bread before grunting. "Are we going to kill someone yay or nay?"

"Gods willing, Umber." Richard Morrigen replied. "Three castles have fallen without a single sword being drawn. If these pirates had intended to hold them, why didn't they install Garrisons, and if they meant to carry off wealth why didn't they sack the castles?"
"We must send scouts north and south." Lester concluded. "We know Waters does not lie to the west or east, with Arryn's letter from Stonehelm. I would bet a pirate would stick closer to the sea, to the south. It may be he has gone the way of the Kingswood brotherhood, and have infested the Rainwood."

Umber grunted and got up.
He said "Call me when there's bastards to kill." and promptly left the room. This umber had no time for talk, he came for action and if action would not come his way, he would return North.

The Rainwood is easier to tame than the Kingswood in my views.Caron watches the Northmen leave. Whatever the case, if he truly is down there, he is trapped. His own means of escape is by water now.

Lester nodded in agreement. "What would you suggest, Lord Caron? We could send scouting parties into the Rainwood and advance the main body of troops behind the scouts."
