”Lord Hand.” Melisandre glided into Davos’ chambers to stand but a few paces away from him. Even in the day, her eyes and jewels burned bright, everything about her was as warm and intense as the rising sun. ”You know as well as I do that His Grace would never spare the Kingslayer. Not even if he were the most important man alive.” The Red Priestess gave him a smile as sweet and sickly as summer wine. ”As little faith as you do have, Lord Davos, you are right in that Jaime is more useful alive than dead.” She turned enigmatically to the empty hearth, and it sprang to life with little more than a gesture. With a look, she dismissed the Hand’s servants, who scurried back down the steps of his Tower.
”If you value your life, Lord Davos, ensure none disturb us. I know that these walls have ears.”

But whatever the Tower was, it burned down"Said Seaworth, who noneless openned the door, dismissed any servants and made sure no-one was around to hear their talk. "I do know he will not, but I had to try. Because I'm not afraid to tell the king what I think, no matter he doesn't like it an ounce"He took a seat. "Tell me, Lady Melisandre, what do you have in mind?"

”The Kingslayer is more useful than you know.” Melisandre turned to stare enigmatically into the fires of the hearth, the flames seeming to leap out and try to lick at her dress. ”I have seen the Last War in the flames, Davos. It grows closer than you know. Even though Stannis sits the throne, our time is running out.” She turned back to Seaworth, and her smile was gone. ”I have seen Ser Jaime beyond the Wall, in the Lands of Winter. His destiny lies there.”
A grey wolf, a golden hand, a dozen ravens. A thousand eyes and one. Melisandre produced a trinket from the folds of her low-cut dress, a bracelet with a ruby that shone and pulsated like the one around her throat. She moved towards the smuggler and dangled it before his eyes.
”Ensure a ship is made ready to take the the prisoners to Eastwatch. I will make sure he meets you there. Though he might not be as he seems.”
She smiled wryly.

Seaworth guessed it was all due her zeal and inner conviction of being an agent of the divine. He looked at the bracelet as it dangled before his rugged face. "I don't dismiss this last war to come. I just hope we're ready for it, my Lady. We sent many men North with Lord Snow, I pray they're enough. The Kingslayer will do what he must, even if he has to be scurried under the king's gaze. Gods forgive us"

”The Night’s Watch alone won’t be enough. Which is why we do what must be done. I shall see you soon, Lord Davos.”
And with that, the Red Priestess left the Hand’s Tower, though the hearth still burned more bright and fierce than it had before her arrival.
