Following the declaration of Edmure Tully, the Riverlands had once again devolved into conflict and war. Many minor lords raised their banners in the name of the 'rightful' Lord of Riverrun, hoping to claim the region before the arrival of Stannis Baratheon. Their soldiers were gathering at the Trident, right at the crossroads between the Kingsroad, the River Road and the High Road.
However, there were those who honored their oaths to the Iron Throne and the new overlord of the Riverlands, Petyr Baelish, and the recently revealed Lady Sansa Stark. These banners rallied at Harrenhal, commanded by Tytos Blackwood, the most senior of the loyalist lords at the giant castle.
Tytos was a tall and imposing man, respected for his honor and skill in battle. He had been the last lord expected to fight for the new regime considering his earlier die-hard loyalty to Robb Stark. Yet he had given his oaths and his son Hos had been returned safely. As much as he hated it, he could not so easily throw away his oaths. He would not be a turncoat. With the other major houses, the cursed Jonos Bracken among them, choosing to stay neutral, the river lords needed a leader. He just hoped that his house would not be doomed by his choices.
Pro-Baelish Army 1,200 Light Infantry 600 Archers 600 Men-at-Arms 850 Light Cavalry 450 Knights 86 Holy Hundred (Heavy Cavalry)

Pro-Tully Army - Encamped at {Rebellious Riverlords}House Vance of Atranta House Chambers of Turnbridge House Charlton of Mistlewood House Keath of Gravesham House Goodbrook of Goodbrook House Bigglestone of Maidstone House Shawney of Blackrush (leader) House Blantree of High Heart House Smallwood of Acorn Hall House Grey of Stoney Sept House Harlton of Castlewood (leader) House Terrick of Wycombe House Vypren of Stillfen {Composition - 3,700 men}1,480 Light Infantry 740 Archers 740 Men-at-Arms 370 Light Cavalry 370 Knights
The rebel army is founded, easily, by the scouts. They on the north side of the Red Fork, giving them an affordable defensive position. Many banners are seen to be waving over the rebels encampment. However, when the scouts returned, there was no firm number to be given. After discussing with the scouts, their commander states that his men believe that the army could be upwards of five thousand men in total, which was nearly double the size and strength of Blackwood's force. The scouts did state that encampment did not seem permanent. It was hastily crafted by the looks of things. They likely planned to move, but could not guess their direction given their position.

A raven arrives, Baelish sends his regards to Lord Tytos and talks about a force that would soon reinforce his men: one hundred and fifty knights of the Vale and five hundred and fifty sargeants and men-at-arms, all mounted. Lord Blackwood is to be named Baelish enforcer and steward of the Riverlands, to rule as long as the Lord of the Trident is tied up ruling the Vale proper.

Tytos Blackwood thanked the Old Gods for the reinforcements, grateful for more mounted troops against the rebels. Time was of the essence to crush the rebellion before more lords get any foolish ideas. He would move swiftly and without any doubt.
The Bro-Baelish Army marched out from Harrenhal to meet the enemy in the field. They went north, to Harroway, on the south side of the Red Fork. Blackwood ordered camp to be set up with enough lookouts to spot any movement from the rebel camp or an approaching force along the main roads. At night, large fires would burn all along the south side of the river, while drums and chants were sung to draw the attention of the rebels.
Lastly, Lord Blackwood sent out a large force of outriders to spread mayhem. They rode west, following the river, until they reached the small village of Sallydance. Here they crossed to the north side. Turning back east, the outriders rode under the cover of night and made their best to avoid or disrupt any rebel scouts. As soon as they reached the edge of the Pro-Tully Army's camp, they launched their assault in the middle of the night. Swiftness, chaos and mayhem was essential - burn tents and supplies, release or kill as many mounts as possible, and avoid to be surrounded. When their deed was done, they would retreat.

Swiftness, chaos and mayhem was essential - burn tents and supplies, release or kill as many mounts as possible, and avoid to be surrounded. When their deed was done, they would retreat. Blackwood's tactics worked well. Due the drumming and fires, the rebels sent a large force to contend an attempt at crossing. They wondered if the enemy planned to outflank them, causing Lord Shawney and Harlton to be wary of them. This resulted in an easy time for the outriders to do their deeds. When the fires began to burn behind them, the force rushed back to try and aid the hastily made encampment, but by the time they came back, the enemy was gone. The smoldering remains of their camp was all they could find. -2 to battle rolls for the next battle due to high successWhen discussing what to do next, the lords agreed that they needed to be as devious as their counterparts. They decided to forego going after the Pro-Baelish force across the river and aimed to march back... and attack Raventree Hall as an example. By the following morning, the army marched northwest of the Trident to go forward with their plans.

Blackwood's outriders, still north of the Red Fork, continue harassing the rebel army, keeping them busy and attempting to slow down their movement. Reports are sent back of the enemy troop movements, hopefully giving the main army enough knowledge and time to catch up.
As soon as he realized that the rebels had given up their strong position on the opposite side of the river, Tytos ordered his men to cross. While it could be a ruse, giving up a good defensive position was foolish. He would give the lords no time to recover from last night's raid. Once his mounted men and infantry had crossed, they immediately pursued the enemy. If they could catch them unprepared mid-march, victory would be assured. Tytos rode at the front, surrounded by hundreds of mounted knights and the elite Holy Hundred. They did their best to follow the rebels utilizing reports from the scouting outriders.

Due to the outriders, the army is slowed heavily. As a result, their intended position for the siege of Raventree Hall is not where they expect it to be. Where they aimed to go around and attack from the East, they are forced to make camp on the Western side. A hastily made fortification is erected and siege weapons begin to be built.
A quick war council decides upon trying to use the tactics of Blackwood against him. The plan was to leave a portion of their troops, under Lord Shawney, to keep the camp going and alive. When night fell, Lord Harlton planned to move a second contingent of one thousand, five hundred men, split into two contingents, to the north and south, around the Blackwood formation. Outriders would be utilized to occupy Blackwoods counterparts. A coordinated attack was planned for the following morning. At dawn, Shawney was to issue forth from their siege lines and attack Blackwood's position. When the horns of battle began, Harlton would aim to initiate a sneak attack from the rear. The two hoped to catch Blackwood between two pincers.

As his army reached Raventree Hall and spotted the rebel army lay siege to his home, Tytos' anger rose. Not again would his house suffer indignity of a siege - not from Bracken, and certainly not from these minor lords. The call to arms was issued, and his men moved forward into battle formation.
The strategy was straight-forward this time. Infantry was formed up at the front, heavy infantry on the left and light infantry in the center and on the right, with archers moving up behind. Blackwood's contingent of heavy cavalry, commanded by Lord Tytos himself, was situated in reserve behind the archers, spying for an opportunity to deal a devastating charge to break the enemy formation. The entire contingent of light cavalry, 850 men in total, were split in two to cover each flank and rear. The infantry would advance and engage the rebel camp, while the cavalry would wait for the enemy to be tied down before circling around and crush them from the rear.

From the south west marches a column of near on 2,000 men. A few carry banners of sellswords and toward the front flies the banner of the Blackfish. At the head of the column rides Mother Merciless, beside her uncle, the Blackfish Ser Brynden Tully. Jaime Lannister is held in chains toward the middle of the column, having failed in his attempt to take his own life. Catelyn’s face was covered behind a shawl, and her head covered by a thick hood. She saw Rivermen arranged for fight one another and a heat rise in her lifeless chest, as horns sounded announcing their arrival.

The maneuver, by Lord Harlton, was a complete success the night before. They hunkered down, somewhere behind the encampment of Blackwood. At dawn, he hoped that his sizable contingent would fall upon the rear of their enemy and crush the traitorous Blackwood where he stood. Once that was done, Lord Tully's cause would be shining bright!
However, the next day, Harlton heard horns coming from the south. His eyebrow went up slightly. Reinforcements? For now, he kept his men hidden and waited.
====================
Lord Shawney woke up, that morning, and got his men arrayed for battle. His contingents, spears at the ready, prepared to charge the Blackwood lines and hoped their pincer would work. Yet, just before the command could be made, the sounds of fresh horns came from their right flank. Shawney turns to see the banners of Blackfish! He was alive!!
Hold! Hold!
He commands to his troops as he, a few other lords, and a contingent of knights round out to see the marching force.
Ser Blackfish! Ser Blackfish!!
Lord Shawney declares.
Thank the Seven you are alive! Surely you have come to aid us against the traitorous Blackwood and ensure Lord Tully's return to Riverrun!

Blackwood was about to give the command to advance on the rebel camp when horns from the south interrupted him. Outriders quickly informed him of a large host marching toward Raventree Hall, carrying the banner of the Blackfish! Tytos could hardly believe it, the old bastard was actually alive! He felt initially happy, but his mood soured when he realized his predicament. Brynden Tully would never join those fighting against his house, not even for an old friend. Blackwood had hoped for a quick victory before the rebels overwhelmed him with superior numbers, but that strategy seemed less viable now. He could try to retreat, though the rebels would no doubt nip at his heels all the way to Harrenhal, and his home would be at their mercy. No, there were not many favorable options but to negotiate.
Tytos Blackwood gathered an entourage of his most loyal knights and set out from his camp carrying a peace banner to parley with the Blackfish and the rebels.

The young Northman riding beside Mother Merciless produced Emmon Frey’s head, from a bag astride his horse. “Riverrun has been taken by the Lady.” He pronounced. “No thanks to the leal lords of the Riverlands, who squabble here in the name of the worthless Baelish and Edmure the Lord that Lost Riverrun.” His face was firm, Mother merciless still hid behind her cowl. “It seems you’ve ignored our missives.”

Lord Shawney's face goes pale when the scolding begins. Emmon Frey had been killed and Riverrun taken by... bandits.
We had not known if Lord Tully lived or not. We were forced to accept Baelish and hope for peace.
The lord replies before glaring at Blackwood.
When Edmure hailed his return, we raised our banners to aid him while this lot over here wanted to save the Riverlands for Baelish!
Shawney gives Tytos the look before turning back to the cowled lady.
We want the Riverlands freed from Baelish and we want Lord Tully to lead us once more! We want the Freys to be punished!

“Loyal as ever, but the Lady remembers how quickly those words turned to dust. Before her son’s blood was even cold, your king’s blood. A shame the Blackwoods, last to dip their banner were the first to dip their banner to the usurping Valesmen.” He put the head back in his pack. “If you wish to see the Freys removed you will help us remove them, the Westermen too. You swore oaths, or did they die at the Red Wedding?” Mother Merciless trot forward, her hard Tully blue eyes peering out from the coverings.

Shawney didn't like the eyes of this woman. Who was she?? They were Tully eyes that looked directly at him.
Who are you? I have heard of a woman that leads bandits in the Riverlands. The Hangwoman.
Was this her? The woman who croaked at him about vengeance and of oaths.
