Pride. Pride. Pride. Waynwood had struck a nerve. But Richard, he thought he was different from those who claim descent from ancient Eagle Kings, as there had been no Lonmouth king of nothing. He gritted his teeth
"It's been an educational soireé, milord. But 'tis time Mooton and I go to bed. Tomorrow we'll leave as soon as the sun is out. Thank you for your hospitality"

”Yes, you will.” Waynwood said, his eyes glinting with mischief. ”It would be remiss of me not to provide you with an escort. I shall accompany you myself, for I am honoured to be the Vale’s Steward.” Eustace’s tone suggested the honour was anything but.
”My sister will join us, if you prefer company more pleasant than mine. With any luck one of you will be foolish enough to marry her.” The laugh he gave was more of a bark. ”At first light, then.”

"Well, um, thank you, Lord Waynwood. It'll be an honour."
Lonmouth patted Mooton on the back, and with that the two men left, a bit confused, to their lodgings.
