I gazed into Lyanna's eyes, seeing the determination etched in her features. Her words struck me deeply, and I felt a mixture of concern and admiration for her unwavering resolve.
"I understand, Lyanna," I responded, my voice tinged with a hint of sadness. " I won't stand in your way. You've always had a strong spirit, and I know you need to face whatever lies there. I cant say I agree with it though.." Ned sighed.
I reached out and gently grasped her hand, offering support and reassurance. "You're not alone in this, Lyanna," I assured her, my voice steady. "I will stand by your side every step of the way. We are Starks, and together we will face whatever challenges Dragonstone brings. The lone wolf dies but the pack survives.."
As the wind rustled through the Godswood, carrying with it a sense of heavy heartiness I wondered. Wouldnt it had been better if Rhaegar fell in battle?

Lyanna giggled at he brother’s solemnity. She squeezed his hand in turn, and her grey eyes glinted in the sun’s light as the morning breeze swept through her hair.
”He’s my husband, Ned. I cannot stay here.” A shadow had loomed over Winterfell since her return; one that would not be lifted save by the passage of time and the softening of memory. The Godswood seemed alive with the whispers of the dead, carried through rustling leaves and the faint song of the wind.
”What is done is done.” She smiled sadly in response to the wordless question. Would that things have been different; Robert Baratheon would be making her miserable, which seemed a small price to pay for the lives of Brandon and Rickard. But now she had a child to consider, a son that she would not trade for all the world. It was a queer feeling, to have your heart swell at the sight of someone with both worry and pride.
”I would ask only for an escort south. I have no wish to be alone in Dragonstone with only southerners for company.” Elia waited there, too. She was not looking forward to that meeting. Would she share? Rhaegar had married Elia for duty, she knew, but that did not silence the pang of envy that gnawed at her heart.

Eddard's grip tightened on Lyanna's hand, his eyes reflecting a mixture of concern and resignation. He understood her desire to be with her husband, to fulfill her duty as a wife, but it pained him to see her leave Winterfell, their ancestral home.
"I understand, Lyanna," I replied, my voice tinged with sadness. "You are right, what is done is done. And your place is by Rhaegar's side but I don't like it."
I took a deep breath, gathering my thoughts. "I cannot bear the thought of you traveling alone, especially in these uncertain times. I will personally escort you to Dragonstone and ensure your safety. You and your child deserve nothing less."
A flicker of determination crossed my face as I continued, "And you need not worry about being surrounded by southerners. I will gather a retinue of trusted Northern men to accompany us. They will provide the protection and familiarity you seek."
The Godswood seemed to hold its breath as I made this promise to Lyanna. The whispering leaves seemed to carry the weight of our shared concerns, the uncertainty that lay ahead.
"I will speak to the lords and gather those who are loyal and skilled. We will journey together, as a united front, to Dragonstone. Your safety is my priority, and I will ensure that you are well-guarded."
Knowing that I would do whatever it took to protect Lyanna and her child. The Godswood seemed to stir with a renewed energy, as if in agreement with my resolve.
"Let us prepare for the journey, Lyanna if you truly must go." I said, a touch of determination in my voice and some hope she might still wish to remain.
With that, I squeezed Lyanna's hand once more, silently reassuring her of my unwavering support, as we turned to make the necessary arrangements for our journey south. Where Stark's don't thrive.

A raven arrives from Lord Karstark, reporting that the Wildlings were defeated prior, but there was evidence of Ironborn involvement based upon their skiffs, which were found on the Western shore. The First Ranger, Joer Mormont, asked for the assistance of his small host of five hundred to make a move into the Beyond area and strike at some Wildling tribes. A good chance for retribution, but still had their risks. Rickard desired the permission of his liege to head for the Shadow Tower and Beyond the Wall.
