Harwin went and picked up the golden hand, tossing it up and down like some child’s plaything. “Don’t think you’ll be killing many kings with just one hand, no.” He remarked drily. “Might be able to buy some materials, hey Blackfish!” He called out. “Think you could raise up any of the swords that surrendered at Riverrun.. if we had means to arm em?” He laughed.
Catelyn looked between her uncle and the Kingslayer, eyes burning blue coals locked in her disfigured face. She whispered into the Northmen boy’s ear, and he nodded. “How exactly are you gonna take the Twins just the two of you?” He asked. “We’re gonna need every sword we have and more for that.” Catelyn raised a bony claw to her neck, and gripped tightly. “Frey.. FIRST..”

"Pick several good men from these lot them. I will provide them with Lannister colors, and they will be my bodyguard. At the hour of the wolf, they will be the guards at the gates."
He paused to scratch at his stump. "They will open a postern gate and allow more men to enter. Kill a Frey or two yes, but, if you have the men, why not retake Riverrun completely? You could even declare yourself openly. One you "capture" me in Riverrun, you will "ransom" me to the Crown. Your price will be your Houses' restoration. House Tully will be brought back into the King's Peace and once it has been done, justice can be pursued against the other Freys."

Catelyn whispered into the boys ear and he relayed the information once more. “No one can be safe until the Twins burn.” He said, finally. “The Freys are vile they will keep coming.. and coming.. until there’s nothing left. But, your plan is not a terrible one. Do you think you could get us inside like this? You yourself said Walder is a suspicious old monster.”

Jaime nodded "If they do not open the gates for me, then they are in rebellion." He said matter of factly. "I am still Lord Commander of the Kingsguard, though hopefully not for much longer. They will open their gates."

After a long moment the silence was broken. “Life..” Catelyn croaked, in her uneven and foul voice. Some of the brotherhood begin talking to one another, in hushed tones. The Northman boy looks to Jaime. “You’re a lucky one, Lady Stoneheart never spares a target.” He crosses his arms. “How much livery can you get your hands on? Do you think we could enter as a troop, assuming you could get enough of it? Perhaps the women might disguise themselves as silent sisters?” He paused adding. “We’ll need your oath to, whatever that may be worth.”

Jaime shook his head. "Maybe enough for five men, and it will be mismatched. Best we find men who better fit in what we have as well. I came form the Blackwood Vale before I found Brienne. I left a small group of my true guard at Pennytree. Brienne and I will return to them with some men from the brotherhood, posing them as new recruits. There are still men who are looking to fill their bellies this winter by becoming men-at-arms. It will be a believable enough story. I will outfit them in what we have and make for Riverrun. I will ensure your route is free of prying eyes on the approach to Riverrun."

Lady Catelyn looked to Brynden to hear his piece. “And how will our forces know to head for the Twins? We aren’t exactly friends in that land.” The Northmen said to Jaime.

"One castle at a time should be our goal." Jaime replied. "Once Riverrun is ours we must consider our position then. We do not know how the Freys will react, but with me as a hostage, they would not dare to assault Riverrun."

"The twins stand as one of the best defended castles in all of Westeros, but most of those defenses will be for naught against men from the inside. I suggest we move on the Twins first, as they are the harder prize as well as the seat of the chief brain behind all Frey activity. If we take Riverrun first, it leaves Old Walder both alive and with time to prepare once word reaches him. If we can clear out the Twins, the head is cut from the snake," he mimed a slashing motion with his hand as he spoke, "And then Riverrun will be left more vulnerable - not for lack of defenses, it is at least as well fortified as the Twins, but rather for lack of direction. Any of the lesser Freys will be easier to intimidate and manipulate into turning the castle back over." He seemed to be drawing out a map in his head as he spoke, connecting the lines of this plan that was formulating.

Jaime shook his head. "Have you ever cut the head from a snake, Ser Brynden? The body thrashes around wildly, there is no predicting it. Strike it in the body? We know what the snake will do - it will try to strike back and often in the wrong direction when it faces multiple threats." he began to tap his foot in irritation. He had not anticipated that a Tully would want to overlook Riverrun in favor of the Twins. "Declare a Tully in Riverrun once more and Frey will lose his support, as will Baelish. Will they not? Draw Walder's forces out - you have my head in the noose after all. He will not dare storm Riverrun while I serve as hostage. Within a few week's time, you may even be able to oppose him on the field! Walder values his life above all, he will not lack for his own personal security. This fool who rules Riverrun now? He lacks the wit, you can believe me I've met him."

"I imagine this particular serpent is more likely to retreat into his hole and never emerge again, but I suppose he can't take the Riverlands if he hides away in the Twins forever, and once we have the rest of the Riverlands on our side we can deal with him." He narrowed his eyes and peered at Jaime, "You've worked with him, you know this particular serpent. I will yield to your judgement on this, Lannister, but if you're wrong and we still live, I'll make sure you don't make it out of the Riverlands alive. We'll take Riverrun first, so long as no one else disputes that course of action."

When Ser Brynden spoke, something broke in Jaime. He punched the earth with his stump repeatedly, crying out. When he was finished he looked back towards Bryden. "Well then, let us begin."

A maester, who was captured from Riverrun, reveals all that he knew of what has transpired to Mother Merciless. She and her confederates learn of Lord Baelish being named Lord Paramount by King Tommen. Furthermore, of how Sansa Stark requested the levies be raised, in the name of her warden, Lord Baelish, in order to fight the pretender Stannis Baratheon. A parchment was shown revealing the raven's note involving the former as well another bearing a rally from Edmure Tully, which had been disregarded by the Freys. There were more messages after that. The maester informed them of a battle between two camps of the Riverlords that had happened upon the Trident. He did not know where they were, but one side was for Edmure, led by Harlton and Shawney, and the other for Baelish, led by Lord Blackwood. It seemed that the Riverlands were in quite a disarray.
A more recent raven revealed a new piece of information: Lord Baelish had given up the Lord Paramountcy to the returned Edmure Tully after bending the knee to Stannis Baratheon in the Vale.
Given this information, Catelyn Tully had some options to play with, especially given the still ongoing battle somewhere around the Trident.

A raven from King's Landing arrives in Riverrun, sealed with what appears to be the symbol of the Hand overlaid over what was likely a hastily-cast Targaryen dragon.
It has come into the knowledge of the Crown through parties in the Riverlands that Riverrun has fallen to a band claiming to be led by the Ghost of Lady Catelyn Stark, nee Tully. It is the intention of the Crown to restore House Tully to the Lord Paramountcy. If Riverrun's current occupants are truly loyal to House Tully, then send an emissary to the capital, or let us know that the gates will be open to our own emissary.
Randyll Tarly, Lord of Horn Hill, Hand of King Aegon Targaryen
