Umber spat on the snow, the heat of his spit sacking through the snow as if it was a knife through butter. "I didn't come to go beyond the wall." Rickon said irritated. "I have come to question these fucking wildlings, in search for my niece." Rickon Umber's niece had been abducted from the grounds of Last Hearth by stinking Wildlings, now Lord Snow had let these mortal enemies in the Umbers would hunt for her until the end of days, or at least until the last Wildling in the north had been slayed. "Point me towards where the largest wildling group resides and me and my men will do the rest crow." Now don't be starting trouble! The First Builder snaps back. Lord Jon Stark brought these men over the Wall and they have been of great help to us with shoring our numbers up here. With what is beyond that Wall, we are gonna need every body we can get...Othell glances up at the Wall again, a shiver ran down his spine remembering the undead. Still, he would answer the question. There are few Wildling who stand out among the rest. Gerrick Kingsblood, Tormund Giantsbane, and Sigorn Thenn. Gerrick is outside with the Wildling encampment. Tormund is down south with Lord Jon and, last I heard, Sigorn and his wife, Alys Karstark, went to Karhold. The older male looks at Rickon with a sharp glare. And I will remind you again, don't be starting trouble. The Long Night is coming... feuds like this will mean nothing to the horde that is beyond this Wall.
Umber laughed. "This one's funny" he said while he looked at his companions. Though the mention of a wildling marrying with a Karstark sent shivers through his spine. "We shall speak to this welding scum you call Gerrick"

There was a whistle of fur and a soft thud of quick steps on the snow, then the sound of the breathing of something large and of steps approaching.
"Who're you?"
Said a man of average height, long face -thin scars running through it-, black hair and grey eyes. He wore surprisingly little furs for the weather and the doublet and mail were good, castle steel and boiled leather with silvery buckles. Standing next to him was a wolf as large as a pony and white as recently fallen snow.
"Othell"
A large crow was perched on the man's shoulder. Behind him stood what looked like twins and a flock of wildlings, in good armor and wielding long axes.
"Snow! Corn! Corn!"

Umber turned and saw his lord, lord snow before him. He nodded instead of bowing, the umbers were not really made to kneel. "My lord, I know I have an ugly face but not as much as you to forget I am Rickon Umber, who fought with you the entire war."

You and your brothers and cousins both look too much alike. If the Crowfood wasn't grey and one-eyed I could have mistaken you for him"Said Jon, with a hint of tiredness on his voice. "Tall, bearded and covered in furs, forgive myself but I've seen this a thousand times now"He rest both hands on the belt. The wildling honor seemingly found that funny, moreso considering most of them were... well, tall, bearded and covered in furs. "What brought you to the Wall? I expected you all to be at Last Hearth to spend the rest of winter beyond its sturdy walls"

As his conversation with Osgrey was interrupted, Randyll turned towards the weathered man who approached them. "If you've ever spoken to Stannis Baratheon, I imagine you might understand that there was little choice, Tarly answered matter-of-factly. "I backed a dragon, and then the Lightbringer rode out of the North and made me regret it. Certainly seems you won't decline the manpower though."He subconsciously mirrored Mallister's gesture, rubbing his hands together as he suddenly felt the cold now that he had turned away from the fire. "Yes, we've been told. Something about some lost men we were told. When do you plan to assign duties? I can hardly imagine you fancy keeping this many sellswords gathered together in close enough proximity to whisper among themselves." Well, we plan to use some of these men to reclaim abandoned forts. Hoarfrost Hill, Rimegate, and the Torches need to be reclaimed so Othell has something to do.Denys says with a chuckle, remarking the old First Builder. He'd certainly have his work cut out if that were the case. We got a few commands open though. You won't like them cause are pretty far apart.Mallister motions to Osgrey and Tarly, bringing them inside to where a map could be found. It did bring them out of the cold, but the deep chill penetrated even indoors. A roaring fire crackled nearby as Denys pulls out a map and sets it down on a table. We need men at... Westwatch-by-the-Sea, Sentinel Stand, Greyguard, and Eastwatch-by-the-Sea. Cotter Pyke, its commander, is presumed dead. Not to mention new leaders for abandoned forts once reclaimed.Denys taps Westwatch. This one is by the Bridge of Skulls and needs to be thoroughly reinforced. Could I bother one of you to take command there? Maybe you, Osgrey.Ser Mallister states, nodding to him. He then looks at Tarly. I will likely have you go and reclaim either Rimegate or the Torches to the East. The two of you will have a couple hundred men from what was brought to help ya.

The youngest Umber laughed aloud. Snow had a touch of hilariousness. "If you were to add ugly to that sum you'd have convinced me you were talking about the wildling Lord Snow" Rickon countered. Rickon spat on the floor before he rest his arms on his sword buckle. "War and conflict is in the Umber bones m'lord. I am here to investigate an old Wildling debt. I am here to search for the missing Umber girl of many fortnights ago."

”I would be honoured, Ser. Give me five hundred men and I shall make Westwatch the strongest castle in Westeros.”
Replied the Reachman, eager to be allowed to assume a command of his own. Osgrey stopped peering at the map and stood to attention.
”I shall leave this very day if you command it.”
The thought of putting himself to use gave him some small comfort in this current predicament.

"That can be accomplished," he said simply. "I hope at least a few of the veteran rangers will join us as well. Their knowledge and assistance will be essential."He rubbed his palms together again, against the chill. "Ser Osgrey and I were just speaking, but you would know better than either of us, and I trust you a sight more than men's whispered tales. What are we guarding against, Mallister?"

"You must have a very thick skull"Said Jon, frowning. "She disappeared so many winters ago. It was in the times of my grandfather, at least from what the Crowfood told me"The wildlings murmured among themselves. "Probably she was claimed by a chieftain and is either a grey woman or died from a winter chill in old age. You might have a score of cousins among the Free Folk. Pointless to pursue such a thing when it happened when my father was but a child, decades ago"

Umber exhaled sharply, tired of the meaningless conversation from his lord. "That may be Lord Snow but it doesn't discount the suffering of my kin. It would go a long way to know which of the scum took her."Umber couldn't believe that this crow would be on the side of the wildlings, letting things rest. The outrage. "We want to know what happened to her. Honor demands it." and he wouldn't leave without knowing.

Osgrey had heard talk of wights, white walkers, giants and mammoths, monsters from all kinds of myth and legend. If he hadn’t seen a giant herding mammoths to Oakenshield a few days past he might have considered it all nonsense. Ser Eustace had even heard of the exploits of Randyll’s own son, the maester that they called Sam the Slayer after he cut down some ice-demon in the Haunted Forest. Half of it was mockery, to be sure, but even japes had a smattering of truth. Still, he held his tongue. He’d heard lots of Samwell’s relationship with his father, and little of it was good.
”Aye. Can’t be Wildlings, as they roam free already, and Lord Snow seems half of one himself.”
Sniffed the Reachman, with a muted glance at the long-serving Commander of the Shadow Tower.

The mood of Mallister suddenly went... cold. The flare of his eyes dulled and darkened by that question. Jon Snow saw them first and we didn't believe him.Denys begins to speak as his eyes look over the map, his fingers trailing the area beyond the Wall. Other Wildlings seem to know of them as well. Called them cold gods. We saw the truth at the Fist of the First Men.Mallister looks between the two for a moment. I will not doubt you if you don't believe me, but we all saw that truly is beyond this Wall. What lurks in the North. I saw brothers of mine die and rise the next moment with blue eyes, torn flesh, and a will to just simply kill without any end. They rise tireless and could march for weeks and months without stopping. His finger taps the map, indicating what he was about to say. The dead led by the Whitewalkers. The ones who brought about the Long Night many millennia ago.Denys moves away from the map, walking to a small window to see men being given their crow outfits and others being directed as to where to go. You will be fighting to keep the South alive. Alive as in warm and living, not as in cold and dead.

"But, if you insist, you may ask and seek the truth, but I warn you, the Free Folk is our allied and my own wife belongs to the lands beyond the Wall. I want no trouble with the chieftains, thus you will not raise a hand against any of them. Any" "Snow! Snow!""I think I left it sufficiently clear and understandable. You're warned"

Rickon exhaled and the warmth of his breath brought smoke out of his nose.
"Forgotten by some, forgiven by none" Umber snarked back before he went to search for the wildling scum that could help him on his way.

Rickon exhaled and the warmth of his breath brought smoke out of his nose. "Forgotten by some, forgiven by none" Umber snarked back before he went to search for the wildling scum that could help him on his way. Snow turned to one of the Harle twins once the Umber left. "Have him followed. Restrain him if he does something wrong, but don't harm the man. And be subtle"He said. Then turned, followed by his direwolf, to discuss important matters with Mallister and others.
